Project Overview
A bold rectilinear composition shaped by clean volumes, layered materials, and carefully controlled proportions. The façade balances solidity and transparency through the combination of masonry, render and glazing, while integrated landscaping elements introduce softness and depth to the street presence.
Planning & Spatial Layout
The internal layout prioritises clarity and functionality, with the main living areas positioned toward the rear to maximise connection with the outdoor entertaining zone. The entry sequence is direct, establishing immediate orientation while maintaining separation between public and private spaces.
A flexible front room allows for use as a home office or guest accommodation, responding to contemporary living requirements. Supporting service spaces are efficiently located to maintain uninterrupted living zones and optimise circulation throughout the ground floor.
The upper level consolidates family accommodation, including multiple bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a secondary living area. The master suite is positioned to provide privacy and outlook, incorporating generous storage and ensuite facilities.
Form, Materiality & Streetscape Response
The architectural expression relies on strong horizontal and vertical gestures, with the masonry base grounding the building visually. Above, a lighter rendered form projects forward, creating depth through shadow and overhang while providing environmental protection to glazing.
Contrasting textures — brick, render, stone and vertical screening — are layered to create visual hierarchy without excessive ornamentation. The recessed entry element acts as a focal point, reinforced by vertical stone cladding that defines arrival.
Planting integrated into the balcony edge softens the geometry and contributes to the streetscape. The overall composition maintains restraint, allowing proportion and material quality to drive the architectural outcome.
